Hot and humid weather is expected in the most parts of country in the next 24 hours, the Met Office said on Wednesday. Isolated rain-thunderstorm is likely at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir. "Weak seasonal low lies over western Balochistan. Monsoon currents will remain cut off during next 24 to 48 hours," the Met added.

In the last 24 hours: The most parts witnessed hot and humid weather with an isolated rain-thunderstorm in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir.

Karachi University Road, Jinnah Terminal and Drosh received the maximum rainfall as 4 mm. D I Khan was the hottest place the country with 44 degrees Celsius followed by Bhakkar 43, Faisalabad 39, Peshawar, Multan and Lahore 38 each, Quetta, Gilgit and Hyderabad 37 each, Muzaffarabad and Islamabad 36 each and Karachi 35.

Temperature in Karachi is expected to remain up to 35 degrees Celsius, and 80 percent humidity as weather may continue partly cloudy with chances of drizzle in the next 24 hours.
